He's got abs and his arms while it may not all too obvious when gazing upon them in their natural setting do not give away that they in fact have been worked on too. His skin is graced with a light tan if even a noticeable one at all and has been found to be riddled any number of small scars. His bangs fall naturally to the side of his face and have been trained to fall onto the right side of his face to hide what is beneath if only barely. His hair may be shaggy but seems to be tame to some extent and is dark brown in color sometimes looking almost black or a more medium brown depending on the lighting. His only other noticeable wound or scar would be that of his eye that he hides behind an eyepatch, which is heavily scarred beneath and permanently closed to the world. He isn't generally picky about what kind of jeans he wears just as long as they fit him and the same goes for the t-shirt. It can be virtually any color or any style and he wouldn't care as long as it fit him. As far as shoes go he like to wear converses or tennis shoes while out in public like this. During his time wondering about the school in his official position he likes to wear black slacks or nice dark colored jeans with a black belt to hold them up and a white button up shirt not tucked in or buttoned on the first button. Off and on he'll wear a black blazer that matches his slacks but he still wears it with the jeans too and for shoes he'll wear black shoes on the nicer side of the spectrum. He will also wear a more military-esque uniform similar to that of the school's uniform that's not required with a military-esque cap, boots, and equipped with a sabre. PERSONALITY
Valerio seems to give off the air of being hard to approach, which might be a good thing for a headmaster but he isn't. He just appears as being hard to approach and it all has to do with the way he carries himself as well as his eyepatch. He finds it amusing when students are too afraid to approach him and just simply smirks when his appearance makes them turn tail. He's actually really rather easy to talk to if one goes to inspect it. While he's particularly bad at giving advice, he does have a good ear on him and he'll listen to any problems someone might be having at the time.
He has a usually obvious and annoying flaw of being lazy. Now he isn't always lazing about as he is the headmaster and he has things to do but he does a majority of the time. His whole purpose of buying kimono's after all was because he was lazy. He's got a great mind though and this shows when particularly when it comes to fights. While he isn't quick to jump into a fight, he is quick to thinking up a strategy and figuring out the best decisive maneuvers. The only time this bit of him shows up is strictly when there is something drastic happening at the school or he ends up in a fight. When it comes to students fighting he is does the opposite of what he would normally and takes action in the form of negating their powers. This also applies when it comes to protecting the school while he does prefer thinking up strategies when it comes to this he would jump to do it. All in all he's a reliable guy when the time calls for it and pushes through his over lazy outlook.
Val is considered a rather quiet individual but that's probably due to the fact the he never talks or never seems to. That's because he never has anything important to say and when he does its usually makes sense or its to make a point. He's also normally pretty quiet because he's well taking a nap because he likes them and finds them fun. Beyond these two reason's one kind find him talking if his interest is piqued. He also has a terrible habit of being blunt. Guess that would be a reason as to why he wouldn't talk too much but he doesn't seem to care that he's blunt. Sometimes all someone needs to hear is the truth and let's face it he's really good at that. With that being said he has really tough skin and virtually nothing bothers him and bounces off him. Very little things bother him and these a generally actions and not words. Family and the school should remain without harm or else his wrath will be invoked. Don't this. Its quite scary.
Another thing to note about him is that he is friendly and caring. He's the headmaster and as such its his duty to be both of these things. He doesn't think anyone would be capable of running the school if they weren't both friendly and caring since it requires taking care of it. When he does speak its almost always without a serious tone and he sees to it that the students are well taken care of. Around some people he might be a tad bit more energetic than others and this is typically when he is interested in them romantically. He tends to pick up his lazy habits to try to impress them and he shows them affection unlike what he would to other people. His family comes second to getting to see him partially energetic and the affectionate side of him but not like when he's seeing someone or interested in them. He's devoted to them and his family 100% of the time and almost desires to take care of them and prove his worth. He'd be willing to clean up his lazy habits if only slightly for them.

Valerio was born on September 24th in Italy to a quiet woman and her ever missing husband. It wasn't that he was missing but he was just always gone. He grew up for the first 3 years of his life never really seeing his father for any long than a minute or two. He didn't find out until much later just what his father did for a living. He was fine with it all as a child though as it never bothered him and he got plenty of attention from his mother.
With his father gone so much it was a wonder how his mother had even gotten pregnant in the first place but he didn't seem to mind or care. He was more or less a happy child as he grew up even without his father there. He started into school at the normal age for any child and his mother taught him how to play the piano at about 7. Studying and practicing the piano was mainly what kept him busy. His mother wanted nothing more for him to do well at everything that he did but she wasn't stern with it. He knew the grades he had to get and never dared to make his mother have to raise her voice. Why? Because she used his father as a threat. He may not have been there very often but she had painted a healthy picture of him.
It was in middle school that he learned of what his father did for a living. That happening because of his father inheriting the family business. His father turned out to be the stereotypical mobster that most people would almost expect out of Italy. It was at that moment when they started moving into their new spacious home that Valerio became the next heir. He was an only child after all and so his destiny was set into motion. He didn't quite like his destiny though as he was forced to get tutors and learn about the family business.
By the time he was 14 he was pretty well educated in how to properly shoot a gun and how to defend himself from rival families. He was kept under strict guard though to make sure that their rival families didn't try anything. It was a risky thing when you only had one heir. Rival families would like nothing more than to kill them off and ruin the chances of the family carrying on. His mother feared for his life and always seemed to be over stressed. It was the lifestyle that was starting to make her ill. His father noticed this and sent her to live out in the country with one of her siblings so she could get better. He may not have paid much attention to them at first but he cared for them.
It wasn't until Val was 16 that he found himself discovering his powers. This may have been a bit difficult but running into another empowered is what helped him discover it. His father was surprised when he went and told him about it and explained to him what had happened. He decided to let the boy take a 'break' from the mob life that he was getting involved in more and more as the years went on to go to the school in Sicuro. It couldn't hurt him and if anything it would probably help him. He was to still be dealing with the mob as long as he stayed in the school and found himself leaving occasionally to attend to things back home.
While he attended Alinari Academy he excelled better than he had expected and learned things about his powers. Keeping his promise with his father and attending to the mafia things on the side of his studies. It was all a rather smooth process except the times that he would find himself hurt returning to the academy. He found himself being injured more by the side mafia things he had to do than the missions he went on. In fact most of the more intense scars came from when he was doing something dealing with the mafia. This all continued until he graduated from Alinari at 22 and went back home. He didn't have much else to do for the longest time other than run around doing things for his dad.
It was as he got older that he started to realize that his life was shit. He didn't like the idea of running the mafia and he certainly felt he was better off just helping out the school more. It was a lot less of a pain in the butt. He received far too many injuries from dealing arms than he did when he went on missions. Two years after graduating he went back to the school to see what all was going on there and got a call that he was needed. The more powerful or useful graduate students were logged so that if Rogues attacked they could be called.
He arrived at the destination without a second thought and that's where he gained a bit of fame for his strategies. That was what got him his position as the headmaster when he was 29 as the old headmaster retired and knew he could trust him. Before this happened though Valerio was given the realization that he had family other than his parents like his aunt who he didn't get to see all that often if at all. No he learned of his terrible uncle and the older of the cousins from her being the heir of his own mafia family. These cousins were of course still younger than him but had been taught just as well as he had especially the eldest. His father blamed the death of his sister on the man that she had married. That had been the last time that he had saw her and gotten a glimpse of his cousins.
His luck had always been just barely on his side and although he also seemed to be getting hurt it seemed to run out. It was almost a chance meeting as he would call it and it turned sour rather fast. Before the 27 year old Valerio knew it he was staring down the barrel of a pistol and the next one he was in terrible pain. He can't even remember what the whole thing about been about but there is one thing he's sure of and that the reason he lost his eye was because of his cousin Ezio. Despite having medicine for it he felt as though he was in pain all the time and would sit around playing the piano as his recovery time went by. He went to the country during this time to help him relax a bit more. It took him forever to even recover and you better believe he holds a grudge. By the time he was 29, he was recovered well enough to take over as the headmaster at the school as he asked by the previous headmaster. He was told that this strategic maneuvers and will to protect the school during the time that they needed it help.
His father didn't quite agree with him taking over for a school for the empowered rather than the mafia family but he allowed it. He still has to return home every now and then to do things for his father but otherwise he stays at the school. It wasn't until just recently that he heard another word about his cousins. It seems that the youngest of them. who was lucky to be alive. realized she had powers and needed to escape from her home. He was explained of her situation and it didn't take much to convince him. She seemed genuine in her panic and nothing like her older brother so he decided to help her. He wasn't sure how he managed to do it but he convinced his uncle and rival family boss to allow his daughter to attend his school so she could learn more about her power. She had a few things that she was required to do to be allowed to go but they still have to plan her real escape. He truly wants to help her and save her from the very family that should have treated him with kindness rather than a bullet to the face.
