We are a literate roleplay that takes place far in the future. The world has accepted the idea of the empowered but others still have their ill opinions about them. They point at the empowered and their school to place the blame for the rogues and their monsters. Countries have fallen apart though not at the fault of the rogues but at their own accord while others have picked up their pieces. Become a student and learn about your powers or be a teacher to teach your knowledge. Keep the world safe for the younger empowered and the humans who can't defend themselves.

It was a lovely day for shopping, but then again so was any day as far as Kim Lan was concerned. Today was only different in that she was looking for something specific as opposed to her usual trend of looking through shops. Normally she just wandered about until something caught her eye and then thought up a good excuse as to why she needed it, but today Kim Lan was on a mission. This mission included flowers. She’d decided that morning whilst making breakfast that the kitchen would look much better with a vase of colorful flowers to brighten up the place whenever the light hit them, and so her quest had begun. There was of course the small problem that she would likely bring home more than just flowers, but that was alright. A little lapse in self-control for the sake of happiness wasn’t that bad, right?
Sicuro had no shortage of charming little shops for Kim Lan to inspect, but she was being picky. A few store fronts had flowers for sale sitting just outside their doors, but none of them really caught her eye. They couldn’t be on the verge of wilting, but she was too impatient to get a batch that had yet to fully bloom. As she continued to make her way down the streets, though, she kept a smile on her face. She would find something suited to her tastes; it was only a matter of time. Thinking back, perhaps she should have brought along Nina. Her daughter loved shopping as much as her mother, but today she’d also been fortunate enough to find a babysitter. Kim Lan loved her daughter dearly, but sometimes she just needed some quiet time to herself, even if the shopping district was anything but silent. To be out and around people was a joy, though, so Kim Lan didn’t mind.
Finally, Kim Lan paused to look into the window of a shop that she couldn’t recall if she’d ever been to or not. Still, it had managed to catch her eyes, so she decided to wander in rather than wait around outside. If the window displays had caught her interest, then she was sure it was worth waltzing in through the door. Glancing around once, it appeared she’d been right. Kim Lan smiled just a bit brighter having found a shop at last. Oh but where were her manners? She should at least say hello to whoever happened to be looking after the place at the moment, “Hello and good morning.”
They say morning hours were the best time of the day to work; Nicole had always taken those words to heart. It wasn't like she needed this job. No. She'd taken up the job offer simply to make her new identity as a normal townsfolk a more convencing one, but that was no reason for her to take the tasks any less important as petty as they were.
She strived for excellence, even in the smallest things. It had been expected from her and, as much as she hated it, old habits die hard.
A lot could be done in a short hour with her level of efficiency. After arriving at the boutique Nicole had so far moved the flowers under the sun, received a new shipment, unpacked all the boxes and rearranged the displays accordingly to make room for the new merchandises, which consisted of an assortment of artisanal vases and... fuzzy mittens. A brow shot up when she picked up a particular pair in her hands, in an obnoxious shade of pink that almost made her cringe. Well, she supposed gloves would make sense given it was already autumn. She still didn't approve of the colors though.
Nicole was just half way through dusting the shelves before she noticed a figure through the window, approaching the front of the shop. Naturally, the delightful chime of the doorbell followed to give the shopkeeper an unnecessary heads up of her entrance. "Ah, welcome, and morning to you too! Nice weather today isn't it?" Nicole greeted over her shoulder before stepping down from the wooden stool, a warm smile on her lips. Although the British wasn't nearly as happy about the sun as she was letting on. She moved behind the counter to put down the feather duster. "Now now, how may I be of service?"

It was indeed a lovely little shop, and even better was the fact that its current caretaker was such a friendly young woman. Kim Lan offered her a bright smile as she greeted her,
“It is a lovely day, isn’t it? The sun must be in quite the cheerful mood!”
A strange thing to say, perhaps, but not when you lived with a five year old. It was difficult to start talking like an adult again sometimes, but then again Kim Lan could act quite childish herself at times even if only in the sense that she was just a bit naïve. Not wanting to be terribly intrusive or get in the way, she waited for the shopkeeper to descend from the stool and move behind the counter before venturing further into the shop. Cheerful smile still on her face, Kim Lan turned to glance at the flowers sitting in the sun as the young woman asked how she could be of help,
“Well, I’m on a quest to find flowers today. The ones you have on display all seem delightful, but which would you consider the brightest?”
Kim Lan wasn’t necessarily talking about color when she said bright, more which ones grabbed the most attention. Color was great; of course, since that was part of a plant’s ability to liven up a space, but the better they bloomed, the more cheerful they would seem and so the better her kitchen would look once she brought them home. She took into account the type of flower too; to a certain extend at least. Roses were nice but a bit romantic for her taste as far as just having them around went. Lilies were nice too, but Kim Lan would always be rather partial to sunflowers over everything else. Poppies were a favorite of hers as well with their bright colors and open appearance.

Nicole arched a brow as she repeated the word. First a 'cheerful' sun and now 'bright' flower, this woman certainly had an interesting choice of adjectives. Both of those words had a certain childish air to them, especially with the way they were used by her. Giving inanimate objects a certain human emotion was a common act for children. But coming from a woman older than Nicole herself, it only hinted to the rogue that she was most likely either in constant contact with children or fairly sentimental. Both things she didn't care for.
Right now she'd just do her job of a shopkeeper. "Brightest you say?" Now, bright... Her eyes wondered near the window and settled on a particular plant. "How about sunflowers?" She walked around the counter and approached said plants, all arranged nicely in their individual pots. She stopped beside the one closest to the window, with its flower peeking a few inches above the window sill bathing in the morning sun. "Nothing says summer like sunflowers, right? Well, it's autumn right now, but these babies will be blooming as long as there's enough sun."
Her right lifted, fingers stroking the canary colored petals gently as she turned to face her costumer again, "they send a wonderful message, too." She added softly with a smile, "faith and belief."
The last three words came out a murmur. The brunette herself never really thought much about it. It was out of habit that her brain pulled out relative information about the subject. Such ideas were just silly to her, like religion. Hadn't people realize that gods were cruel, selfish creatures that only act on their own pleasure? And yet they were worshiped.
