The only ones I see having a problem with making friends with him are women and mostly the self confident or loud kind. Lukas has been abused for years by his mother leading for him to have a slight fear of the opposite sex whenever they're yelling or doing something violent. I encourage for girls to still try and be friends with him, they would just have to be very patient with him however and try not to be too loud in front of him. But other then that he is use to listening to others problems but never sharing his own, he's rather selfless like that, he feels that his problems are not important while everyone else's is. Lukas' is rather obvious, the female gender. While I'm sure most won't be mean to him givin' that he acts akin to a kicked puppy, I'm sure there would be some that would just LOVE to pick on him cause of his condition. Lukas is truly helpless against a girl, he cowers when they yell and will only ever defend himself should they attack him, he will never retaliate back, he just can't. Against men though Lukas has no problem standing up against or even fighting, but a woman? She'd most likely be able to kill him. This boy is a virgin in multiple ways as he is seventeen and has never once kissed a girl, he's never even held their hand! Much like with friends this girl has got to be really patient with Lukas as he will not know what to do and will even hesitate in doing certain actions because he's afraid of their response. He also have very low self esteem for himself, so a girl confessing to him will be met with shock before he tries to convince them why their more better men then him that she should go for. Carys and Lukas
Since Carys is so quiet and probably wouldn’t raise her voice even in the face of an impending zombie apocalypse, I can see these two being friends. They’re both so nice and quiet I can see them getting along rather well. Lukas is just friendly enough to get Carys to come out of her shell, and Carys isn’t a girl that’s going to yell at him, not to mention they have that common ground of coming from troubled families. Let me know what you think and if you have any other ideas!

here i am plotting with tsuki, yay \o/ anyways, it's obvious that Cia is going to be that one girl who keeps trying to harass him - well, more than she usually would - once she discovers his strange fear towards woman because it's amusing as hell to her to see him fluster. She'll start attacking lukas with random hugs, kisses and just in general trying to get him more comfortable around woman, because as far as Cia was concerned she is a godsend and it's just sad that he is afraid of her.
