She has a slight figure with the lightest touch of an hourglass shape -- only natural, considering that she is a growing young woman -- and light skin. Her skin has few blemishes apart from a flat, circular birthmark on the right side of her neck near her collarbone. Evelina has long, black hair that is soft and rather curly. Her hair is usually fashioned into two pigtails with the bangs framing her face, although she will sometimes wear her hair loose. Her eyes are bright blue and extremely expressive, and her mouth is usually upturned in a smile. When not wearing the school uniform, Evelina's clothing tastes vary. She can generally be found in dresses or skirts, as she loves them, especially cute lacey sundresses. When it's cold, she'll usually dress up in tights instead of stockings, or simply wears pants. She likes trench coats and can also often be found in them in cooler weather. When she's gardening or otherwise relaxed, Evelina wears casual, loose clothes that flow freely and allow her to move around easily. She doesn't wear make up and has very few jewellery, apart from a bracelet which her mother gave her, which she never takes off. PERSONALITY Positives: + Kind A cruel heart will not be found here. Evelina is its antithesis, a highly generous person who wishes to see the good in everything and everyone. she is not so wonderful as to be described as “altruistic” – however, she is a good-hearted enough person to be given the label of “kindness”. + Honest She most certainly has an inclination to tell the truth. she dislikes liars and lying, and so would never under her right mind tell an untruth. She is almost disturbingly candid and more than a bit blunt. + Hardworking It’s all or nothing with her. Evelina nearly literally throws herself into everything she does, working with a fervent passion that rivals the hardiest of packhorses. + Inquisitive It is quite easy to tell that she has a large thirst for knowledge; she is always eager to learn and discover. Highly curious, she is not one to be shy and could easily be labeled a prier; hence, some might find her annoying. + Affectionate She loves to give and receive affection. She absolutely adores sweets – especially cakes, ice cream, and chocolate. + Animals She adores all types of animals! Cats and dogs would be her absolute favourite, though. Just add water and you’ve got juice! Well, Evelina loves those; but she doesn’t just drink them. She’ll also open them, scoop out the ice with a fork or spoon, and eat them. + Video games This girl loves video games. Don’t believe it? She has several different game consoles and often takes her portable game console to school to play during the breaks. She is particularly fond of RPGs. + Snow She likes the coolness of snow, and she loves watching snow fall from the sky. She also loves the way snow has a tendency to cover everything like a great, big, warm blanket. + Reading There’s nothing better than curling up with a good book! That’s another reason she likes the snow. Oftentimes she gets to sit down in a big comfy armchair and read all day. + Dresses There is no doubt that Evelina is a “girly-girl”; she like dresses with cute designs or frills, and she definitely takes care of her appearance. She would be more than delighted to discuss hair or skin care tips and advice. Dislikes: - Spicy foods She hates that they burn her throat and tongue and can’t understand people who like them; she only thinks that they must be horrendously masochistic. A very small amount of spice can’t hurt, though, and she’s surprisingly receptive to mildly spicy foods. - Tomatoes Those things are evil. In fact, she’s deathly afraid of them. You never know when they’re going to strike. - Hot weather It makes her sweat and stink and Evelina just hates it. Cool days are much better. - Dark chocolate Whoever invented dark chocolate ought to get shot in the foot; it’s way too bitter for her liking, and Evelina simply can’t understand the people who claim it to be “deliciously smooth”. No, no, it’s grotesquely absinthal. - Politics Evelina thinks politics are boring; the mere mention of it threatens to cause her eyelids to slide down and her brain to switch off. She just can’t stand it – she doesn’t find it interesting in the slightest. - Liars She doesn’t like lying, and it merely makes sense that she would dislike liars as well. However, at the same time, she is so utterly and too forgiving that she simply doesn’t know what is right or wrong and maybe she should forgive you, even if you told her such awful lies that her life fell apart before her eyes. - Spiders She’s not afraid of them – she just abhors them. She thinks that they should be purged from the world and won’t hesitate to squash them out of existence with the heel of her shoe. - Evil flying monkeys Yup, you read right. Flying monkeys. They’re the root of all evil and must be dealt with immediately. At her present level, Evelina can promote the growth of plants. This means that she is able to speed up or augment plants' and trees' growth by touching them; a "green thumb", if you will. Depending on how much energy she puts into her magic, Evelina can speed up the growth process or reinforce a certain plant's growth. She can additionally revive withered plants so long as they are not dead. HISTORY Evelina was born on a raincloud. Well, not really. But Evelina loves nature and life so much that she sort of wishes she had been. Heck, she wouldn’t mind being raised by wolves, if it would bring her closer to the world she adores! It should be clear now that Evelina is a complete and utter nature nut – she loves the Earth and its entirety so much that her very being simply bursts with it. Countless random facts of plants and animals have sunk into that little brain of hers, and she oftentimes blurts them out indiscriminatingly to anyone who is listening or might listen if she says something interesting enough. She is all about conservation and using less water and being green. Recycle that bottle, save the world! Put that trash in the garbage bin, save a squirrel! As it were, Evelina was born and raised in Verona, Italy. Her mother was an empowered; she had the ability to manipulate sound, which helped her with her career in music. Evelina's father, however, was a regular human, who flourished with logic. He was a lawyer. Evelina's sister, who was nine years older than her, was empowered like her mother. Apparently her mother's side of the family had history of the women being magical, so it was of little surprise when Evelina's abilities began manifesting as she grew older. In any case, her adoration of all things alive and breathing also manifested at an early age. She wanted to know the names of all the plants and birds and other animals that she could see from the safety of the backyard or through the windows. Once she grew old enough, Evelina went to a regular school, learning and making friends like most children her age. She was vibrant and alive and friendly just like the world she loved. Her parents began teaching her English as a second language soon after sixth birthday in preparation for Alinari Academy, where Eve's sister also went. She picked up the language easily, apparently having an affinity for them. She even expressed interest in becoming a translator when she grew older. Now, though, she can't wait to start her first year at the academy. She knows she wants to have a job that somehow relates to animals or plants; the only problem is that she’s not entirely sure what she wants to be. Does she want to be a veterinarian? Or a florist? Or maybe a biologist? The question seems perfectly unattainable and she’s scared she’ll never be able to discover it. It’s only made all the worse by the fact that her sister is currently studying biology at university. Besides the world, Evelina’s other loves include video games and sweets. Her sweet-tooth is enormous and if she could, she’d eat junk food all day. Her favourite video games are RPGs, and she relishes in her ability to play them on her handheld console during lunch breaks. Evelina also enjoys reading; it should bear no surprise that a majority of the books she reads are somehow related to nature. As for those evil flying monkeys – she read about them in a book once (a fiction book, mind you), and is now absolutely convinced that they are simply the root of all evil in the universe.
