Kim Lan TranTwenty-five - Home Ec Teacher – Pansexual – Mother Hen
Friends – Kim Lan is probably the easiest person to make friends with ever. She’s about as friendly as a golden retriever with new people; she’ll run right up to you and just start talking. You can wind up being friends with her in an hour just by talking to her. Once friends with Kim Lan, or even if you aren’t, it doesn’t matter to her, she’ll be the most encouraging and supportive person ever. Anything you do, she’ll never stop rooting for you or believing you can succeed. She’ll also be more than willing to help you out if you’re in a tight spot. She can be a little self-centered but if you can get around that, you’ve got a wonderful and genuinely kind friend who’s willing to cook for you which can’t be all that bad.
Foes – There really aren’t that many ways to make an enemy out of Kim Lan. While silly, the best way is to be constantly critical of her. Kim Lan honestly cannot stand being critiqued in any negative way and while she’s more likely to just ignore and avoid you, it can eventually get to a point where she’ll turn around and do the exact same to you. In addition, anybody who harms her students, friends, or family is instantly on her shit list. She’ll keep an extra close eye on anybody who does this and may occasionally try to do something, however small it may be, to make their day a bit more difficult. Other than that, she really won’t do much. It would take a lot to make Kim Lan actually become violent someone. Threatening her daughter would do the trick, but believe me, it’s really better not to stray down that path.
Romance – Getting Kim Lan to fall in love is far harder than it probably seems. What with the whole dead husband and single mom thing, love is literally the last thought in her mind. In addition, she’s afraid that if she did fall in love again that she would lose that person like she lost her husband. Kim Lan knows when someone is flirting with her, but she isn’t very likely to flirt back. She’s not terribly interested in matters of the heart but if one were to consistently pursue her, she may eventually give in and just to see where things lead. For the most part, though, she’ll try to shut you out. She doesn’t want to go through the pain of losing someone again and she doesn’t want to start anything that may potentially come between her and her daughter.
